The Tournament Calendar is being updated regularly, as information is received. KASA has made sure that the tournament schedule is chock-a block full with all flavours of softball. There are Ladies, Mens or Co-ed Fast- or Slo-pitch tournaments scheduled for just about every weekend from April through October. On some weekends there might even be one of each!! Got Kids who want to play Softball? The Rutland Minor Fastball Association, www.rutlandfastball.com, welcomes new and eager players (and coaches) of all ages and skill levels. The RMFA is a very 'kid-centric' and proficient bunch. Your up-and-coming stars will have loads of fun while learning some enviable softball (and life) skills in a friendly, competitive, and age-appropriate environment. Contact and Registration information is available on their site. Wanna become an Umpire? The Kelowna and District Softball Umpires Association (KDSUA) is looking for new talent to bolster their ranks of both Fastpitch and Slo-pitch officials. Umpiring presents a great opportunity to learn new aspects of the game, to be involved in some of the best softball you could ever wish to see, to make some super new friends (and influence people???) and to earn a few pesos in the process. KDSUA will train you, allocate your games to suit your preferences, proficiency, schedule and style, monitor your progress and assist you when and if necessary. The KDSUA mentoring system is second to none. KDSUA umpires are admired all over the province--in fact, all across Canada---for their exceptional training, their consistently high skill level, their knowledge and 'ball smarts', and their on-field performance. Many of our umpires started out as mere children umpiring in rec games and for the minor organizations, and have progressed to qualify to officiate at National, International and Olympic events. To think we actually get paid to watch the games from the best seat in the house!! How cool is that?? Umpire training clinic information is available on our calendar page or contact Scott at (250) 762-3290 for further information. |
